Planning a surf trip in Portugal sounds easy until you start looking. Hundreds of camps, seven very different coasts, swell windows that move with the season, and reviews that rarely mention which week the photo was actually taken. Swell Portugal compresses all of that into a clear brief and a human reply, so you spend more time picking the right week than scrolling.
1. Tell us about your trip (2 minutes)
The Trip Builder asks the things a friend who lives here would ask you on the phone:
- Your level, from never-surfed to advanced.
- Your style of week: beginner camp, intermediate progression, yoga and surf, family, solo, group of friends, performance, or surf and remote work.
- Dates and flexibility: exact week, plus or minus one week, plus or minus a month, or fully flexible.
- Your preferred coast, or no preference if you want us to pick.
- Group size, whether kids are coming, and an age band so we can match the right camp vibe.
- Your budget per person per week and what kind of room you want (dorm, private, or apartment).
You get a live indicative price band as you fill it in, calibrated against typical 2024 to 2026 Portugal surf camp pricing. It's not a quote, but it sets honest expectations before anyone replies.
2. You get an instant confirmation
The moment you submit, your brief is saved and you receive a confirmation email. That's your proof we have it. No spam, no marketing drip, just a real receipt with the request on file.
3. A human curator replies within 24 hours
A real person reads the brief, cross-checks it against the season, the coast, and the camps we know, and replies within 24 hours (often faster) with:
- 2 to 3 real options, not a giant list. Quality over noise.
- Why each one fits, in plain language tied to your level and dates.
- What the trade-offs are: smaller camp vs more social, beach break vs reef, easier transfers vs better waves, summer crowds vs shoulder consistency.

What we don't pretend to do
We won't promise pumping surf on a fixed week. Nobody can. What we can promise is honest matching: the coast most likely to work for your level on those dates, and camps that have a track record of running their week well. If a week looks weak for your goals, we'll say so and suggest an alternative window or coast.
