Swell Portugal exists to answer a simple question: which Portugal surf experience actually fits you, your level, your dates, your budget, and how you like to travel.
We're building toward our own surf camp in Portugal. While we scout locations, permits, and partners, we run a concierge planning service: you submit a structured brief, and a human curator replies within 24 hours with 2 to 3 tailored options and the trade-offs behind them.
How we think about surf trips
A good week in Portugal isn't about the biggest brand or the most photogenic headline. It's about matching three things: your real level, the season of the coast you visit, and the rhythm of the camp itself. Get those right and the rest takes care of itself.
We've surfed and stayed across Ericeira, Peniche, Lisbon, the Algarve, and the north. We know which beaches forgive a learner's first paddle-out and which reefs ask for a calm head. We use that to filter operators down to a shortlist that fits you, not the other way around.
